The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine is recruiting a Director of our Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) program at the University of Kentucky. Our clinics serve as a quaternary referral center for patients with a variety of ILD diagnoses drawn from a wide catchment area at the UK HealthCare Main Campus, rated the #1 Hospital in the Region by US News and World Report. Our team includes physicians with expertise in evaluating and managing patients with these diagnoses, a dedicated PharmD associated with our University Specialty Pharmacy, a nurse coordinator, and APPs. Our ILD team works closely with our Pulmonary Rehabilitation program, the University’s Lung Transplantation program, interventional pulmonologists and thoracic surgeons, and we hold regular Multidisciplinary Conference Meetings which include representatives from Rheumatology, Chest Radiology, and Pulmonary Pathology. The ILD program is a member of the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundations’ Care Center Network and the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research’s Global Clinic Alliance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in and experience with ILD, evidence of educational and/or research accomplishments within the field of ILD, be board certified in Pulmonary Medicine and qualify at the Associate Professor level or above. Candidates will be responsible for attending on the inpatient consult service and/or Medical ICUs if boarded in Critical Care, attend ILD clinics and will have protected time to serve as director of the ILD clinic. Salaries are commensurate with experience. UK HealthCare is located in the beautiful Bluegrass Region of Lexington, an ideal location to experience the work-life balance we strive to provide for all of our employees. Our university, department, and division are in strong support of diversity, equity, and inclusion. We encourage diverse applicants to apply and to feel supported in our community.
